AIDA 3 Course
Take Your Freediving to the next Level
The AIDA 3 is for Freedivers who have already completed the AIDA 2 or equivalent. The AIDA 3 gives you the knowledge to go deeper and longer in your dives.
The AIDA 3 course is 3 days consisting of theory, pool sessions and open water dives.
Course information
A 3 day course
The courses goes deeper into the theory of freediving, covering the physiology and techniques enabling you to dive deeper. You will learn how to improve your own performance and further develop your rescue and safety skills.
Cost: £450
Duration: 3 Days
Equipment: Swimming kit and comfortable clothes.
All freediving equipment used during the course will be provided and included in the price.
Maximum course size: 4
All courses are taught in Cornwall, specific location dependent on weather.
Requirements:
- Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent or guardian consent)
- Have completed the AIDA Medical Form
- Have completed the Liability Release
- Have completed the AIDA2 Freediver course*
*Or have completed the AIDA2 Crossover Evaluation if crossing over from another freedive agency or having other adequate freediving
Certification as an AIDA 3 Star Freediver is dependent on reaching the target performances required, by the end of the course. As a certified AIDA 3 Star Freediver you will be able to demonstrate the following standards:
- 2:45 min static breath hold
- 55m dynamic with fins
- 24m depth in the open water
- Pass theoretical exam
Day 1
Pool & Theory
Begins with theory in the classroom, expanding your knowledge for freediving, aimed at giving you the skills and knowledge required to enable you to independently plan and take part in freediving activities with a qualified buddy.
We then move to the confined water where we cover static, dynamic, safety and rescues.
