This course is designed to
give you a taste of Freediving.

You will learn the basic knowledge for freediving and be introduced to the basic skills, on land and in the water and most importantly, learn how to dive safely and comfortably.

Course information

This is the most basic course we offer
and can be done in one day

It is aimed at people with no previous freediving experience.You can complete the AIDA 2 at a later date, or even the next day, if we have availability.

Also great for budding mermaids, surfers and spearos who want to master the basic techniques.

Cost: £140

Duration: 1 Day

Equipment: Swimming kit and comfortable clothes.
All freediving equipment used during the course will be provided and included in the price.

Requirements:

  • Over 16 (under 18 requires consent from parent/guardian)
  • Medically fit
  • Able to swim 100m non-stop.

FAQ

Yes, Freediving is safe when done properly, with the correct knowledge and supervision.

We bet you can hold your breath longer than you think! We will teach you how to improve your breath hold. People often surprise themselves with what they can achieve with the right knowledge and environment. Once you have booked on a course, we will also give you some dry exercises to try at home in preparation for the course.

Currently Alice Hickson is our main instructor but we do have other instructors who help from time to time. All our instructors are fully qualified, insured and experienced.

Our main base is Cornwall, Newquay, but where we run our courses is dependent on the weather. We do run courses and trips in other locations around the UK and abroad, so make sure you follow us on social media for the most up to date information.

You can take AIDA 2 right away which combines both levels, 1&2. The AIDA 1 is more like a taster and has no performance requirements.

If for any reason we cancel the course, we can reschedule or provide a full refund. By booking the course you are agreeing to attend. If you have to cancel up to 1 month before the start date you will receive 100% of the course fee or we can look at rescheduling, depending on circumstances. Within 1 month of the course start date we cannot provide a full refund, but will look to reschedule for a future date.
