Alice Hickson

Alice has always loved the water and it is where she feels most at home.

She discovered freediving in 2015 and has been hooked ever since. She won best newbie at the 2015 Great Northern National Freediving competition then went on to compete in the 2015 AIDA World Championships where she set 3 new National records and became the no fins World Champion.

Although Alice never got into freediving to compete, she enjoys the structure and purpose training gives, but is only really ever competing with herself.

She currently enjoys exploring the beautiful gullies and swim throughs Cornwall has to offer and can often be found clambering down rocks in search of new spots to explore.

Alice is passionate about freediving and is keen to share its magic with those who want to learn. Alice has a background in Occupational Therapy and Swimming teaching and believes that self-awareness and learning in a supportive environment, at the individuals pace is key for freediving.

Alice is an 10 x National Record holder and currently holds all four British pool records and one depth record. Her favourite disciplines are no-fins.
